Water is a fundamental part of our lives that we can never live without. All living organisms, whether humans, animals or plants need water in order to survive. Due to this we will not be mistaken to say that water is the most essential element for life after oxygen.

Humans use and need water for many activities such as agriculture, industry, and household uses. Agriculture alone accounts for about 69% of the total water use. Some countries such as Sudan and Afghanistan apply an estimated 99% of all the water they use to agriculture.

One thing all of this substantiates to us is our reliance on water for survival in every aspect of our lives, and the impact the lack of this resource will have on our lives.
