From Assistant Principal, Elementary and Open Sesame Welcome to the 2009/2010 school year. A new school year is always an exciting time, for the teachers as well as the children, catching up with friends from last year and finding out about the wonderful holidays everyone has had along with meeting and making new friends. We are welcoming many new parents and children into the Al Hekma family this year. If you are new to the school I hope we are able to make you feel very welcome. We also have some new faces in the teaching department. We welcome them and their fresh ideas for providing interesting learning experiences for your children. The first half of Term One is generally a settling in time for the younger children. We will all work to make it as smooth as possible. We have some wonderful activities planned for you and your children this term and throughout the year. So get ready for a wonderful and productive year. Once again, welcome!
