2020-04-16

Al Hekma  International School sustained its ability to cope with the difficulties raised with the spread of the Corona virus (Covid-19) through pre-examined and planned steps to balance and continue the educational process remotely and through various e-channels for all levels from Kindergarten through the Twelfth grade.

AHIS’s administration was able to harness all the capabilities in order to provide the best educational practices for students which enables them to achieve the vision of the school; represented in providing students with a balanced international standard education with emphasis on developing their social, global and cultural skills. Al Hekma strives to build accountable, confident and motivated lifelong learners.

The administrative and educational team at Al Hekma International School works hard to plan, prepare and deliver virtual lessons in a distinct balance, in order to meet the learning needs of students. All teachers communicate daily with parents and students through various platforms for all classes to make distance learning effective.

The school administration has integrated the use of an online application for all students, which allows teachers to have visual conferencing practices through the internet. AHIS administration is keen to provide the best technologies to the students to have an opportunity to interact with their teachers and colleagues while attending online live lessons. Students can visit these lessons at a later stage as well for review or if they did not attend the online session. AHIS is offering virtual lessons between teachers and students to be taught in audio and video, and to provide students with weekly agenda, educational and enrichment activities for all lessons and sources to help explain those lessons, in addition to enriching videos, so that they can continue studying at home and interact with their teachers.

Moreover, AHIS management is pleased to announce in implementation of the directives of His Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, and in response to the efforts of the Ministry of Education to take into account the challenges raised by the crisis of the spread of Covid-19 and faced by the citizens and residents of the Kingdom of Bahrain and in the efforts to support AHIS families to alleviate their financial burdens, the esteemed Board of AHIS decided to reduce the fees by 20% for KG students, 15% for Grade 1 to Grade 3 and 10% for Grade 4 to 12 for the months of April, May and June 2020.
