Academic Controller's Message - ES/MS

As we start this new school year, I look forward to working with you to best meet the needs our students. My vision Al Hekma International School is for it to be a place where students, teachers, staff and the community collaborate to achieve a common goal: for students to become productive members of society. In order to achieve this, we will provide students with programs and learning opportunities, which allow them to achieve academic success and personal growth.
We are dedicated to providing a learning community where everyone works together to create a safe learning environment, where all students are able to effectively communicate their beliefs and become responsible learners accountable for their academic progress. In addition, students are challenged to think critically, strive to achieve their personal best, be involved in the community and in extra-curricular activities. My hope is that AHIS is a place where students, teachers, and community members feel welcome, valued, and where a quality education is of the utmost importance.
Our teachers continue to focus on providing engaging lessons, which utilize students' prior knowledge and are based on grade-level standards. Our teachers are continually assessing and monitoring student achievement to help guide future instruction. In addition, we are working to create learning opportunities, which are student-centered and allow for more opportunities for analysis and discussion within the classroom.
AHIS is a place where failure is NOT an option and we are all dedicated to help each one of our students achieve success. The teachers, faculty, and staff pride ourselves on developing relationships with our students so that we may better understand their needs and desires. I am personally dedicated to help each student achieve success and make everyone feel safe and welcome. Whether it is walking through classrooms during the day, or talking to students, I take pleasure in getting to know the students on a personal level.
I look forward to serving the students, parents, staff, and faculty this year and for many years to come! Please don't ever hesitate to stop by with any concern or to share an exciting accomplishment. My door is always open and I look forward to working as a team to help each of our students succeed!

Best Regards,
Mrs. Marwa Younes
